Docket vs QuoteIQ for small dumpster rental companies

A source-backed comparison for operators deciding between a waste-specific operations platform and a broader field-service CRM. Vendor pages checked September 18, 2026.

Quick answer

Docket is the stronger starting point when the container and every service task must be the center of the system. Its public documentation covers dumpster assets, drop-offs, pickups, exchanges, dump-and-returns, pricing matrices, dispatch, driver work and billing inside a waste-specific workflow.

QuoteIQ is easier to price before a sales call and can suit a small operator whose first problems are quoting, scheduling, customer follow-up and invoicing. However, the features closest to a complete dumpster operation—inventory tracking, route optimization and dispatching—are listed on QuoteIQ Elite at $299 per month, not on its $29.99 entry plan.

Pricing: the cheapest plan is not an equivalent comparison

Docket publishes Grow, Pro and Pro Plus feature tiers, card and ACH rates, and included message allowances, but it does not publish the base software subscription. A buyer needs a written quote that includes implementation, messaging overages, integrations, website work and the contract term.

QuoteIQ publishes five monthly prices: Essentials $29.99 for one user, Beginner $74.99 for two, Pro $149.99 for four, Elite $299 for ten and Max $699 for unlimited users. The entry plan covers core CRM, estimating, invoicing and scheduling. For a closer operational comparison with Docket, use at least the Elite column because that is where QuoteIQ lists inventory tracking, route optimization and dispatching.

Choose Docket when

Choose QuoteIQ when

Run the same test in both systems

  1. Create a customer, service address and quote with size, days, included weight and distance charge.
  2. Reserve one specific container and schedule its delivery.
  3. Record driver proof, then exchange the container without losing the original pricing terms.
  4. Add extra days and disposal weight, collect the container and generate the final invoice.
  5. Export the customer, tasks, invoice and container history.

If availability, container location or the next pickup still requires a separate spreadsheet, the cheaper option is not solving the central operational problem.
