DSQ Hauler vs QuoteIQ for dumpster rental operators

A practical comparison for small roll-off businesses choosing between waste-specific dispatch software and a broader field-service CRM. Vendor pages checked September 7, 2026.

Short answer

DSQ Hauler is the clearer fit when container inventory, driver dispatch and recurring hauls are the center of the operation. It is built specifically for roll-off and dumpster companies and publishes a $99 monthly price with unlimited drivers.

QuoteIQ is the broader option when estimating, customer communication, photos, job costing and adjacent home-service work matter as much as waste-specific dispatch. It starts at $29.99 per month, but inventory tracking, route optimization and dispatching are listed on the $299 Elite tier.

The important pricing trap

Comparing $99 with $29.99 is not enough. A small operator needing container inventory would be comparing DSQ Hauler's published flat plan with QuoteIQ Elite, not QuoteIQ Essentials. An operator mainly replacing estimates, texts and spreadsheets may be able to start lower on QuoteIQ. Build a feature checklist first, then compare the tier that actually includes it.

Run the same test in both trials

Create one real workflow: quote a 20-yard container, schedule delivery, record its location, swap it, add an overage, attach a placement photo and issue the final invoice. Then test a recurring commercial pickup and a day with poor mobile coverage. The product that completes those jobs with less duplicate entry is the better operational fit.

A recent operator discussion on Reddit described the same underlying problem: customer details, container locations, deliveries, pickups, scheduling and billing were spread across spreadsheets, texts and calls. That is useful evidence for the comparison topic, but it is not treated here as a product review.
